The Carinthia Tropen Sleeping Bag is a lightweight sleeping bag with a small stuff or pack size. The Shelltrans shell fits loosely over the inner structure and provides an extra layer of insulation without cold seams. The G-LOFT ISO filling is bonded to a lightweight, soft and breathable insulating Thermoflect material. The addition of Thermoflect increases heat retention in a sleeping bag by approx 10%. An air pocket is formed between the insulation layer and the shell outer. The tapered mummy shape of the Carinthia Tropen Sleeping Bag ensures minimum stuff size and weight, without compromising on warmth. A mummy shaped sleeping bag ensures that from the knee downwards there is gradually less internal volume to keep warm. The foot section in the Carinthia Tropen Sleepin Bag is not too small that feet cause the layers of insulation to poke out. This Trapezoidal foot section is a wedge shape, decreasing equally in width from top to bottom. It provides the optimum foot space whilst sleeping even in boots. The Sleeping bag hood is equipped with a mosquito net which can be folded out of the flap if required and stored behind the flap with press studs. The net can easily be attached around the hood by means of the small non-snagging zip. All Carinthia sleeping bags are equipped with a two-way zip. The zip glider on the top does not snag, allowing quick exit. The other zip glider does stick and can be opened for ventilation.
